About me

My name is Ingalill Roesberg, artist name: Inkalill. I´ve got one year left of my study in Master's programme in Art Criticism and Cultural Dissemination at NTNU, Trondheim. Before that, I was educated in fine art as a painter at the Art academy in Oslo. During my life I´ve always created visual stories, comics, graphic novels.

I met my husband at the academy, we both studied under professor Alf-Jørgen Aas.We married, moved to Trondheim where he came from, and got two kids. We worked as free-lancers in the marketing business for a living, myself as an illustrator, and later, learned to use mac.I can´t get over how easy it is now, and how great a tool data is. In the old days, everything was done by hand, and very detailed: First drawing with pencil, then ink, get the image on transparent film, place on a light-board, trace the lines on aquarel paper, use air-brush for the greater fields and aquarel on the details. It took time.

All my life I´ve loved books. J.R.R. Tolkien, Agatha Christie, Lack London, Alexandre Dumas, Jules Verne,Lewis Carroll, William Shakespeare, Tove Jansson, Astrid Lindgren, Rudyard Kipling, Arabian Night, history books and poetry by Pablo Neruda, Rabindranath Tagore and Mervyn Peake are some of the great highlights in my life. Art: Rembrandt, Goya, Hieronimus Bosch, Emil Nolde. Graphic Novels: Krazy Kat by George Herriman, Lone Wolf & Cub by Koike & Kojima, and many more. I can go on and on, there´s so many great works in the world.
